#142 - I Heard It Through the GREGvine | Tales From The Concert: The Darkness | “Viral or Eyeroll”: Coachella

Greg follows up on stories from the year past. First up, blowback from Eric Church’s decision to cancel his concert so he could attend the Tarheels Final Four game (Digital Music News) & then we hear how the Neil Young Spotify news affected Joe Rogan’s listener stats (Digital Music News). In the news Mick Jagger names Machine Gun Kelly & Yungblud as Rock & Roll saviors (Rolling Stone). Finally, some news that hits a little closer to home, a Detroit resident is fuming after buying tickets to the “Red Not Chili Peppers” (Detroit News) & Venus Williams offers Greg consolation via Instagram.

Songs:

Jay was in Philly this weekend to see The Darkness perform at Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia. His ears are ringing and his vision is blurry, but he found his way back home and is ready to regale us with another “Tales from the Concert”! We hear about the new venue, get an idea of what standing two rows back from the front of the stage sounds like & get a post-concert interview with Daniel Pflager (Jay’s brother).

Songs:

Nick makes good on last week’s promise…we’re playing “Viral or Eyeroll”: Coachella Edition! A rare Jay vs Greg matchup promises an exciting round. Nick’s also had two weeks to come up with the questions and gets carried away really easily…so this is a fun one!

Song: King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard - “Presumptuous”
