#153 - Welcome Back, Mr. Weddington | Tales From The Concert: Roger Waters | Crumpets

With Jay’s second child here just over a year now, it’s time to rejoin the family beach trip and that means we get to hear how, friend of the show, Michael Weddington is doing! We first had him on in Episode 50 and we’re excited to have him back. He brings with him, this time around, a rough and tumble storyteller with a wry sense of humor by the name of Ray Wylie Hubbard. Born in 1946, Hubbard has been writing and performing outlaw country and Country rock since the early-to-mid 1970s & Michael has been listening and following his career since, almost the beginning. If you enjoy what you hear, we strongly recommend you check him out. Thanks so much Michael for joining us!

Greg stuck around the east coast last week to catch “Roger Waters: This Is Not A Drill” live in Pittsburgh, PA & we get the whole scoop on another “Tales From The Concert”! After learning that Greg & friends would not be going back stage due to COVID protocols, Greg all that was left for the night was to enjoy the show and he did! Waters is notorious for putting on incredibly impressive live shows and this appears to be one of his best. If he’s coming to an arena near you and you needed a nudge, consider this a nudge :-)

Song: Roger Waters - “The Powers That Be”

Nick was hanging with some friends when a particular band came up. It’s not a new band, often appearing in lists alongside Tame Impala & King Gizzard, but always disregarded…entirely due to the band’s name. Rather than get philosophical about all of that, Nick introduces us to the Perth Australia band Psychedelic Porn Crumpets.
