#051 - “Pitch Perfect” Austin Loman Returns: Regards to Jacob Collier & Introducing “Note the Note”
It only took 51 episodes, but we have our first returning guest on this week! Austin Loman was first on our Brothers episode and we’re happy to have him back in the hot seat! We kick things off by discussing the amazing talented Jacob Collier, a multi-instrumentalist composer/artist that Austin’s been keeping track of for a few years. Things get technical pretty quick and there’s a bit more theory this episode than usual, but that’s exactly why we wanted to have him on!
Next up, we’re pleased to announce our latest, custom-built-for-Austin game show called “Note the Note”. In this game, contestants must name the note/chord/mode/interval/whatever-else-Greg-cooks-up being played. Honored repeat guest aside, Austin is still a little brother of the show, so Nick & Jay team up to take him on (spoiler, Austin has perfect pitch).
